Science Expert

Mrs Knight's Dad (Mr Hall) came to school today to show us a pulley system that he had made. He explained how the system works to help ease the load for busy workers. Instead of lugging a bucket with bricks in it up lots of stairs, they can just use the pulley system to get the bricks up the stairs. Can you explain what is happening in these pictures? We were so lucky to have him as a visitor :)

      i was the first to lift up the bucket of bricks, and gee was it heavy!(/'。/~/。'/)

    When I lifted the bucket at first it was very heavy but when I used the pulley it was a lot lighter.

    I had so much fun doing science at school and boy the bucket of bricks were heavy but with the pully system it was so much easier. Maia
